Chandigarh, 22nd July 2022:
With board exam result out class X students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, made their mark yet again by excelling with performance par excellence. Vanshika Bansal topped the school, scoring a whopping 99.2 %. Vedant Saini, Lavanya Singh and Aryansiddhant Vedantam were placed second with 99%, while Saumya Gupta with 98.8% secured the third position.
In the overall result, out of 198 students who appeared, 133 students scored 90% and above, while 43 secured 80% and above, whereas 18 scored 70% and above. In addition to this extraordinary result, 26 students in Mathematics, 24 in English, 12 in Science, 10 in Social Science and 2 in Sanskrit scored a perfect 100.
Vedant Sani of class XA who has scored a whopping 99% has represented India at the International Maths Olympiad at St Petersburg, 2021 where he won a Bronze Medal at the Asia Pacific Maths Olympiad 2022. He also was ranked AIR-1 at Technothlon 2021 held by IIT-Guwahati and Mathematics Olympiad 2022 conducted by IIT Bombay. He also won a Bronze Medal at the International Math Olympiad-world final 2022 at Oslo, Norway.
A Fine Balancing Act-Sports Achievements
· Vanshika Bansal who scored an astonishing 99.2% is a State Level Champion who has won accolades for the city. She was awarded a Silver Medal in U-20 in the State Fencing Championship. She also won a Gold and Bronze in District Fencing Championship in Under 20 Category.
· Raghubir Yadav who scored 93.4% is a Silver Medalist in long jump and has won the Chandigarh State Athletic Championship in Nov 2021.
· Kritvee Sharma who scored a 92.4% is a Gold medallist in Chandigarh State Softball Tournament held in September 2021.
· Nishita Sivasamy who scored 89.2% is a National Level Speed Skater. She has been representing the school in CBSE National and Chandigarh Level in SGFI and in Roller Skating National Championships for the last many years. Recently, she won One Gold, and a Silver in the Chandigarh Roller Skating State Championship. She also represented Chandigarh in the 58th National Roller Skating Championship and won a Bronze Medal in RR-3.
