To ensure that the Government school infrastructure in UT Chandigarh is upgraded much before the commencement of the classes after the summer break, Secretary Education Smt. Purva Garg, today accompanied by the Director School Education Chandigarh, Officials of Engineering and Education Department undertook visit to the GMSSS-38 W, GMHS-38 W, GMSSS-Maloya, GHS-Maloya.
During this inspection of the schools, the Secretary Education stressed on need to ensure the availability of safe drinking water, Sports facilities and upgradation IT infrastructure in schools is taken up on mission mode.
The engineering department confirmed that the pending engineering works will be completed before the commencement of the classes.
The DEO was directed to issue direction that all principals of schools to personally ensure that the schools are ready in all respects before the commencement of the classes.
Secretary Education also directed all the Deputy Directors and DEO and Deputy DEO of the Education Department will personally visit the schools within this week and put up proposal on the issues that need resolution.
