A delegation of health experts from the Republic of Fiji visited the Department of Telemedicine at PGIMER Chandigarh on the 3rd of May. This visit was in collaboration with C-DAC Mohali. Delegates included Dr. Mario Cabio, Head of Mental and Psychosocial Care, National Wellness Center, MHMS; Mr. Niumataiwalu Ameniasi Salabogi, Senior Hamanitarian Coordinator, NDMO; Mr. Ashnil Rohit Kumar, IT manager, MHMS; and Ms Krystelle Lavaki, Program Officer, The Asia Foundation- Pacific. Prof. Biman Saikia, Head, Department of Telemedicine welcomed and addressed all the delegates.
Dr. Amit Agarwal, Project Lead, Regional Resource Centre briefed them about the various activities of the department with regards to tele-education and tele-evidence services and detailed upon the tele-consultation services through e-Sanjeevani 2.0 provided by the centre under AB-HWC project, NHM Haryana. The delegates were appraised on the process of Tele-consultations and the generation of e-prescription live.
They also visited the Tele-psychiatry centre to take a look on their activities. During this visit the following staff of the department Dr. Richa Gupta, Dr. Sonu Goyal, Dr. Aruna Singh, Dr. Manaswita Roy, Dr. Liza Das, Dr. Nabaneeta Dash, Dr. M Phani Priya, Dr. Atul Arora, Dr. Priyadarshini Sahu, Dr. Anil Chauhan, Mr. Pankaj Pant, Ms. Maanvi Saikia and Mr. Munish also interacted with the delegates.
