Door-to-Door Garbage Collection and Sweeping to take place on Sunday instead of Saturday Due to Lok Sabha Elections
Requests citizens to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation and the amended schedule for garbage collection
Chandigarh, May 31
As the voting for Lok Sabha is scheduled on Saturday, 1st June, the Municipal Corporation has rescheduled door-to-door garbage collection to Sunday, June 2, 2024. This change is made to facilitate the field staff of Municipal Corporation in casting their votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Chandigarh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh on June 2024.
In order to ensure that sanitation and garbage collection in the City does not suffer, Municipal Corporation has directed it employees to ensure garbage collection on Sunday instead of Saturday.
The municipal corporation urged citizens to take note of the same and cooperate with the municipal employees.
