Chandigarh, March 3:
Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, on Friday, directed the officials of the department to complete the regularization process contractual teachers and employees at the earliest.
Presiding over the meeting of the members of services regularization committee, Harjot Singh Bains said, under the regularization policy of government, the entire process should be speeded up.
S. Bains said that the Punjab government had issued a welfare policy on October 7, 2022 for regular the services of contractual employees. About 13000 employees of the Education Department applied under the policy, thus the verification process was initiated by the department, which is about to complete.
He informed that about 700 contractual teachers were deprived of applying due to some technical issues, whose database has been prepared through District Education Officers. The process of regularization of the services of these employees is at final stage and soon these employees will be incorporated as regular employees in the department.
The Cabinet Minister instructed committee members to immediately settle the complaints pertaining to data and service records of some contractual employees.
