Chandigarh, 10th October 2023, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) organized session on the topic of ‘Mental Wellbeing’ to mark the ‘World Mental Health Day-2023’ at Snehalaya For Girls, Sector-15, Chandigarh.
While highlighting the theme of the ‘World Mental Health Day-2023’ i.e. ‘’Mental Health is a Universal Human Right’, Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR discussed with the girls that this day is an opportunity for all of us to unite to improve knowledge, raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right. She further motivated the girls to adopt good lifestyle to enjoy not only a good physical health but also a sound mental health too.
Mrs. Vandana Aggarwal, Mentor, CCPCR took session on ‘Mental Wellbeing’. She talked about the various indicators to identify the mental illness among children specially in the adolescent girls. She also discussed various preventive and curative measures to deal with mental issues. She conducted activities to improve mental health too.
The Commission further felicitated the awardee girls of the institution who participated in an art exhibition event held in the Chandigarh. Also the queries of the girls were answered during the interactive session.
