CM presides over cultural night of Minjar fair
Himachal Pradesh, Aug 1
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over the cultural night of Minjar fair at historic Chamba Chaugan on Sunday evening.
The Chief Minister released Minjar souvenir brought out by the Organizing Committee.
While addressing the people on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that fairs and festivals were the integral part of rich cultural heritage and repository of the State. He wished the people of the State in general and people of Chamba in particular a happy and prosperous Minjar.
Chairman of the organizing Committee and Deputy Commissioner D.C. Rana presented a memento to the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Noted Bollywood singer Mamta Sharma regaled the audience in the jam packed Chamba Chougan with her scintillating performance.
Deputy Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hans Raj, Chief Whip Bikram Jaryal, Local MLA Pawan Nayyar, MLA Jia Lal, District BJP President Jasbir Nagpal, Chairman APMC D.S. Thakur and other prominent leaders of the district were present on the occasion among others.

Tribal and hard area of state witnessed unprecedented development during tenure of present Government : CM
The State Government was committed towards the development of tribal and backward areas and has made adequate provision in budget allocation for tribal and backward areas. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this while addressing a delegation of Bharmour-Pangi area that called on the Chief Minister at Circuit House at Chamba today.
Chief Minister said that the tribal and hard areas of the State has witnessed unprecedented development during the tenure of the present State Government. He accused the previous Congress Government for using the tribal people as a mere vote bank. He said that the Congress leaders did nothing for the development of these areas.
Jai Ram Thakur said that it was for the first time that Sach Pass was opened for traffic in the month of April this year. He said that road condition in tribal areas has been improved considerably and adequate budget has been allocated for these areas.
Deputy Speaker Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hans Raj thanked the Chief Minister for ensuring equitable development of Chamba district as a whole with special focus on tribal areas.
MLA Jia Lal Kapoor thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards developmental needs of hard and tribal areas.

CM directs executing agencies to ensure time bound completion of Pt. JLNGMC Chamba
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today visited the under construction Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba and reviewed the progress in work of this mega project.
Chief Minister directed the executing agencies to ensure time bound completion of this project. He said that this Medical College was being constructed by spending an amount of Rs. 507.60 crore.
Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to focus on completion of the first phase of this project by September this year. A presentation was also made by the MD of the Aggarwal construction company regarding progress of the project.
MLAs Pawan Nayyar and Jia Lal and Principal of the Medical College were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister announces opening of BDO Office at Bathri in Dalhousie AC of Chamba district
Chamba, Aug 1
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Bhalei in Dalhousie Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district today announced opening of BDO Office at Bathri in Dalhousie Vidhan Sabha area of the district.
Chief Minister said that he has ensured equitable development in the State and has never discriminated with the area not represented by the BJP. He said that despite the corona pandemic, over two years wasted due to this deadly virus, the present State Government has ensured that the pace of development goes uninterrupted. He said that a political party which remained in power for over 50 years in the country, was at the verge of extinction. Now the State leaders of the same party were claiming that they would come to power in the State.
While blaming the Congress for the problem of unemployment, Jai Ram Thakur said that the ‘Berozgar Yatra’ of the opposition was a mere political stunt to mislead the people of the State. He said that the State Government would go with facts and figures before the people to counter the false propaganda of the opposition. He said that the main focus of the State Government was on development of the State without the politics of vengeance and vendetta.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always provided all possible help to the State. He said that besides providing special assistance of Rs. 800 crore to the State, the Centre Government has sanctioned developmental projects worth Rs. 10,000 crore for the State. He said that double engine governments at the Centre and the State were vital for ensuring the pace of development goes uninterrupted.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the famous Bhalei Mata temple and performed puja there.
Chairman Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee and local BJP leader D.S. Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister detailed a few developmental demands of the area. He said that Dalhousie area has witnessed all round development during the present tenure of the State Government. He said that 50 bedded civil hospital, ITI, Fire Station and Degree College were opened in the constituency besides several other projects during this period.
Mandal BJP President Dalhousie Vijay Kumar Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed various developmental projects going on in the constituency. He also urged the Chief Minister to bring the famous Bhalei Mata temple under the control of the State Government.

The notification regarding opening of Sub Tehsil at Saho would be made soon and parking would be constructed at Saho to facilitate the people. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated this while addressing a public meeting at Saho in Chamba Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district today.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Chamba district has been declared as an aspirational district by the Union Government so as to ensure that the district gets additional funds for its developmental needs. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has special attachment towards the State and its people and has visited the State seven times during the last about four and a half years. He said that the Prime Minister in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ programme telecast yesterday made special reference to the Minjar fair of Chamba.
Chief Minister said that people of the country has out rightly rejected the Congress party. He said that the BJP won in all the four states where elections were held recently. He said that now it was the turn of Himachal Pradesh to reject the Congress party. He also accused the Congress party for the economic crisis in the State. He said that unmindful expenditure and unplanned development by the previous Government was the root cause of financial crunch in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the present tenure of the State Government remained dedicated towards the welfare and upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. He said that social security pension, Sahara Yojna, Grihini Suvidha Yojna, HIMCARE etc were proving boon to lakhs of people of the State. He said that over Rs. 1300 crore were being spent every year on providing social security pension to the needy, as compared to Rs. 400 crore being spent during the Congress tenure. He said that over 20,000 families with chronically ill patients were being provided Rs. 3000 per month under the Sahara Yojna. He said that the motto of the present Government was ‘Jahan Gareeb, Wahan Sarkar’.
Chief Minister said that the State Government was providing 50 percent concession on fare in Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses to the women commuters and free power upto 125 units per month being provided to the electricity consumers. He said that the State Government was also providing free water in rural areas of the State. He said that it was surprising this decision was not going well with the Congress leaders. These leaders should voluntarily give up the free power being provided to the consumers and even if they wish they can even pay the bills of other consumers, he added.
Chief Minister also performed puja at the famous Shiv temple Saho and said that the roof of the temple would be repaired soon.
MLA Chamba Pawan Nayyar while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked the Chief Minister for acceding to all the demands of the area during his earlier visit to the district. He said that the Gujjar community of the area were rock solid behind the present State Government and the Chief Minister. He said that the previous State Government bluffed the people of the State by falsely publicizing the Minjar was an international fair, whereas the truth was that it was the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who made notification regarding according international level fair status to Minjar fair of Chamba.

Chief Minister announces to open Block Development Office at Koti in Churah AC of Chamba district

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Koti in Churah Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district today announced opening of Block Development Office at Koti to facilitate the people of the area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Prime Minister in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ programme yesterday made special reference to the Minjar fair of Chamba, which shows his love towards the State and its people. On the other hand, a leader of Punjab has such little knowledge of Himachal that he recently claimed that Minjar was celebrated at Hamirpur and now the leaders of that party were trying to woo the voters of the State, he added.
Chief Minister said that the world was adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but the able and strong leadership provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was tackled efficiently. He said that the Prime Minister not only took timely decisions to check the spread of this pandemic, but also motivated the scientists to develop indigenous vaccine against this deadly virus. He said that a biggest vaccination campaign was successfully launched in the country under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that opposition leaders even tried to mislead the people of the State regarding this vaccine. He said that Himachal Pradesh was ranked first in administering the first and second dose of vaccine and its efforts were even appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government has always ensured that the lesser developed areas get special preference in matter of development. He said that the Chamba district has been included in the list of aspirational districts by the union Government to ensure that it gets adequate funds for development. He said that the previous State Government crossed all limits of taking loans to meet its unplanned and unmindful expenditure. He said that now the same leaders were questioning the present State Government of taking loans to meet the developmental requirements.
While taking a jibe at the Congress leaders, the Chief Minister said that the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were not going well with them as they know that the Congress has no leaders of the stature of Narendra Modi. He said that the Congress leaders were also trying to take credit for the construction of Atal tunnel Rohtang. He said that there was a race going on with the Congress leaders to prove supremacy over one another. Now these leaders were claiming that they would discontinue all the schemes launched by the present State Government, he added.
Chief Minister said that the previous State Government even divided the State on the colour of caps and on the other hand the present State Government ensured that no one must be victimized on political considerations. He said that he uses State chopper for ensuring development whereas the previous leadership used it to fight the cases in different courts.
Deputy Speaker Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hans Raj said that Churah area has witnessed unprecedented development in all spheres during the tenure of the present State Government. He also thanked the Chief Minister for selecting the aspirational district Chamba for starting the campaign to celebrate 75 years of existence of the State. He said that Congress leaders completely ignored Chamba district and Churah Vidhan Sabha area for several years together. He said that the Churah area today has all the major offices and credit of this goes to the benevolence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
