USOL Students of ADP (Advanced Diploma in Photography), 2021-22 batch are organizing a photography exhibition at Sector 17 Chandigarh, Underpass. The Exhibition shall be inaugurated on 27th Oct2022 at 5:15 PM by the Chief guest of the occasion Sh. Swadesh Talwar, Former Chief Photo Editor, The Indian Express. He had visually documented the history of Punjab and Chandigarh in the last 3 decades. He is known for the iconic photographs of the Punjab Terrorism days. He is also the person behind the Archive section of The Indian Express.
The works of 14 Students named AmitTonk, Guntaz Dhillon, Gurinder Brar, Gurjeet Singh Dhaunsi, Gurpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh Pahwa, Jashan Kamboj, Kunwar Arora,Dr.Maneshwar Singh Kondal, Parneet Khattra, PK Rattan, Rishav Khandelwal, Sandeep Garg, Vijay Rana will be displayed at the venue.Mr. PK Rattan is the Brand Ambassador for Organ Donation and himself a Survivor of the same.
The students are exhibiting their work related to wildlife, portrait, flora, fauna, offbeat, etc.
The students are from diverse fields including fashion photography, the film industry, astrology, the corporate sector, and journalists.
The USOL (University School of Open Learning, Punjab University) is running a one of its kind course in photography which was introduced in 2020-2021. The course consists of theory and practical work. It is a two-semester course. The guest facultyis from diverse fields and has impressive industry experience.
The Exhibition is open to the public and will end on 29th, October2022. The time of the exhibition is from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.
