Chandigarh, October 9th, 2022:
Senior Level Officers from The Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, Government of India visited the state-of-art Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), located in Sector 17, Chandigarh. The visit was held under the leadership of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Smart City Limited.
The Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi conducts every year a 10-month Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) for senior officers of Government of India. The programme was started by Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India in 1975. The visit was comprising of 38 officers of the rank of Joint Secretary/ Director from various Ministries and Departments including Armed Forces.
During the course programme, Urban Study visits are planned to provide exposure on the best practices in urban sector. Participants interact with officers from various departments, agencies and development authorities.
For this year, Integrated Common and Control Centre, Chandigarh has been selected for the visit during the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration. The officers witnessed the Brain of City in action and were happy to see the well managed system of E-Governance, Data Integration, Adaptive Traffic Control System, Video Analytics, challan system and other services being done under the ICCC project of Chandigarh Smart City. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) experts of the Chandigarh Smart City Limited gave a demonstration on live functioning of citizen centric services on the video wall in ICCC and PCCC.
Sh. Anil Garg PCS, Additional Chief Executive Officer and Sh. N.P. Sharma, Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Smart City Limited welcomed the officers came for the visit to Integrated Command & Control Centre, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
