World is One Family-2nd Art & Cultural Fest’23

Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh to host a week long Event

Chandigarh, 15th October2023: Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Infosys Foundation and Bhartiya Vidya  Bhavan , Bengaluru, is all set to unveil the 2nd edition of its exhilarating seven day Art and Cultural Fest, World is One Family – वसुधैव कुटुंबकम्to be held from 16th to 22nd October 2023.

This much coveted event is a perfect platform for the confluence and celebration of vibrant talents from different genres of art and culture.

Day 1: Shri Dharam Pal, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony to be held on 16th October2023. The Guest of Honour, for the day is Shri Vikas Gupta, Head of Chandigarh Development Center, Infosys Ltd. The day will witness Invocation by the school choir and a scintillating dance performance ‘Vishwa Naad: Bhav, Raag aur Taal’ by a distinguished psychologist and Kathak danseuse, Dr. Samira Koser.

Day 2: Shri Suresh Kumar Nangia, IAS, Former Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Punjab, will be the Chief Guest on 17th October 2023. The day will explore the realm of an exclusive fashion installation, ‘Threads of Universal Bonding’, by an acclaimed author, Prof. (Dr.) Vaibbavi Purthiviraj Ranavaade from Chitkara Design School. Where the musical notes by Ms. Paramjyot and Ms. Ishmeet will enthral the audience, the play, ‘Vasudha –Ek Parivaar’ by Mr. Chakresh Kumar & his Troupe will render the spectators pondering over critical issues.

Day 3: Ms. Manraj Grewal Sharma, Resident Editor of The Indian Express, will be the Chief Guest for 18th October 2023. The day will showcase a musical melange by Gagneet Singh and Hitesh Giri of Beats & Strings. Durga Pooja at Chatterjees, a play, directed by Ms. Nisha Luthra, will touch upon the theme of universal brotherhood.

Day 4Dr. Neelam Man Singh Chowdhry, Renowned Theatre Director will be the Chief Guest on 19th October 2023.  Samvad- a musical endeavour by Mr. Subhash Gosh and group followed by ‘ Nagme Taraane Sarzameen Ke’, a musical medley by Mr. Amit Sharma and a dance performance ‘ One World One family’ by Chandigarh University will mesmerize the audience with their spectacular presentations.

Day 5: Prof. (Dr.) Neera Grover, Former Head, Music Department, SNDT University, Mumbai, will be the Chief Guest on 20th October 2023. The day will offer lyrical melodiesby Ms. Poonam Rajput followed by a musical performance by Mr. Sukhwant Singh and Mr. Vinod, and a contemporary dance performance by Ms. Puneet & Ms. Kritika.

Day 6: Dr. Sumita Misra, IAS Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Haryana will be the Chief Guest on 21st October 2023. The events of the day, The Magic Spell, an art workshop of Promising Artists and  Sangchadhvam, a play, by Natya Griham, emphasizing the theme ‘World is one family, my family’ will be an artistic feast to the audience.  

Day 7: Shri Sanjay Tandon, Chairman, Competent Foundation will be the Chief Guest on 22nd October 2023. The Guest of Honour will be Dr. Sameer Goel, Development Centre Head & Practice Manager at Infosys Ltd. The day will present a musical sojourn through the rendition of highland songs by Ms. Rishampreet and Mr. Amit followed by a sci-fi play, ‘Teesvi Shatabadhi’ by Dr. Chandrashekhar PrasadThe Magic Spell: an art workshop of Promising Artists will continue to showcase the talent of the local artisans. 

 An art exhibition and workshop, put together by Ms. Neenu Vij, an eminent artist and curator, will be on display for the entire week.

The event is eagerly awaited by the seasoned artists and the ebullient connoisseurs.
