Bhavan’s old students organise much awaited Diwali Carnival
Chandigarh, 15th October 2022:
The Annual Fete – Diwali Carnival – was organised by BOSS (Bhavan’s Old Students Society) at the Sector 27, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh campus today amidst much fanfare and entertainment. For the first time after the pandemic, after a gap of two years, the alumni association of Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh, brought back the most awaited event of the year- BOSS Fete 2022.
The “Diwali Carnival” was aptly presented through an amalgamation of foot tapping music, exciting games and delectable eatables. With M/s Froyo Foods as the title sponsor, and outlets such as Baskin Robbins, Gunsberg, Krishana Chaat House participating in the event, the venue had more than 30 stalls with games, entertainment, music and other entertainment for children and guests of all ages. The fete also had a kids’ zone to cater to young children.
Shri R.K. Saboo, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra inaugurated the vibrant event and was received by Director cum Senior Principal Mrs. Vineeta Arora, Vice Principal Mrs. Suparna Bansal and BOSS President, Ms. Richa Gupta. Theyaccompanied Mr. Saboo as he visited the stalls and interacted with the students, viewing the plethora of games that were on offer.
Effervescent groups of children and teachers received the guests in their stalls and left no stone unturned to give the visitors an enthralling experience. The students of the Special Cell of the school had organised a sale of handmade items such as gift envelopes, decorated diyas, etc.
The stalls and décor lived up to the Bhavan name, creating a festive atmosphere all around. The event was open to the public and the crowds poured in in large numbers. The school ground was abuzz with activity in more ways than one. While ingenious games with interesting gifts on offer kept visitors hooked, the request stall played out latest numbers making people groove along The “Matka” Stall and the music stall remained the attraction of the event. The students from various other schools also participated in the event and were amazed with the arrangements at the event. The event ended late in the evening and as the stalls closed, visitors’ hearts were full of lovely memories they had made during this beautiful day.
