CCPCR issues Advisory on Cyber Security for the schools of Chandigarh 

Chandigarh, 18th October 2023, keeping in view the Cyber safety, security and digital wellbeing of children, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) has issued an Advisory on Cyber Security for the schools of Chandigarh.

In this context, Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR highlighted that in the present scenario, there is a dire need of Cyber safety, Digital Wellbeing & Cyber Safety Awareness Sessions specifically for the children. Kids are exposed to the internet and online world more than adults. Education, entertainment and all kinds of information are available on the internet. Therefore, it becomes essential for students to navigate the digital landscape safely. This advisory will act as a tool for the help of schools and students and will further equips them with the skills to protect personal information, prevent cyberbullying, develop digital literacy, and maintain emotional well-being.

The advisory focuses on various aspects of the Digital and cyber world such as Cyber Awareness Programs, Safe Internet Usage, Privacy Settings, Password Management, Content Filtering, Phishing Awareness, Respect for Others, Reporting Mechanisms, etc. for the safety of children from any kind of Cyber attacks.
