Soulful Symphonies and Vasudha-Ek Parivaar leave the audience spellbound

Chandigarh, 17th October 2023-The second day of a week-long Art and Cultural Fest’23 organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh in collaboration with  Infosys Foundation and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru, continued to celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of India with a series of performances andthe artistic  exhibition.

Shri Suresh Kumar Nangia, IAS, Former Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Punjab, was the Chief Guest of the day. Mrs. Anita Nangia also graced the occasion. The Guest of Honour, Sh. R. K. Saboo, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra presided over the grand event.Also present on the occasion was Ms. Naga Lakshmi Rao, Member, BVB, Bengaluru Kendra.

The unique cultural blend ‘Wrapping the World: Threads of Bonding‘ was an extraordinary fashion installation curated by a renowned author, Professor (Dr) Vaibbhavi Pruthiviraj, Dean, Fashion Design, Chitkara Design School.

The highlight of the fest was Soulful Symphonies from around the worldMs. Paramjyot and Ms. Ishmeet, both educators at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Junior Wing, Chandigarh enthralled the audience with their melodious performances.

The play “Vasudha – Ek Parivaar”, directed by Mr. Chakresh Kumar, founder of Alankar Theatre, carried a powerful message, calling the world to unite for universal betterment. The narrative of the play aimed to challenge prevailing perceptions and evoked strong emotions depicting the importance of unity for the greater good.

The Chief Guest, Shri Suresh Kumar Nangia, applauded the efforts of the organizers and the artists for putting up a remarkable show. He appreciated the initiative taken by BharatiyaVidyaBhavan and Infosys Foundationto promote art and culture. He then felicitated the artists for their outstanding performances.
