Chandigarh, June 27
Continuing the celebrations of the 7th Anniversary of Smart Cities Mission, Chandigarh Smart City Ltd. organised a Tree Plantation drive with the city Mayor Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Ms. Anindita Mitra, CEO, CSCL and councillors of MCC, followed by an exposure visit of the state of art Integrated Control and Command Centre, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
The event was themed “Back to Roots”, under which species like Amaltas, Allamanda & Mussaenda were planted. Chandigarh is targeting a plantation of 48,000 saplings this year, and is on track for the same. Following the plantation drive, the Mayor and councillors were briefed about the functioning of ICCC-acting as the “Brain of the city”
