Today,in the demand letter given by Joint Action Committee of Chandigarh Administration and MC Employees and Workers to Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anindita Mitra, they demanded that the salary and DC rate arrears to the outsourced workers working in MC Engineering wing should be paid before Diwali. Joint Action Committee’s Convenor Ashwani Kumar, Chairman Surmukh Singh and Joint Secretary Rajinder Kumar said that till now many contractors have not been paid the wages of workers and DC rate arrears due to which there is a lot of anguish among the outsourced workers while the festival season is going on. For this, the salary of workers and arrears of DC rate should be paid before Diwali, they said.
