Ensure that benefit of government schemes percolate to lowest level in society: CM to MLAs

Holds brainstorming session with  MLAs of party

Chandigarh, August 3-

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today asked the party MLAs to ensure that the benefit of the pro-people and development oriented schemes of the state government percolate at the lowest level of society.

Chairing a brainstorming session with the MLAs here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the state government is duty bound to ensure the well being of every strata of society. He said that this mission has been planned meticulously and now it is for ” all of us”  to execute it flawlessly and fulfill the promises made with the people. Bhagwant Mann urged the  MLAs to play a proactive role in this noble mission.

The Chief Minister took the feedback of the MLAs regarding the problems in their respective constituencies. He also apprised them that the 75 Aam Aadmi clinics which will  be dedicated to masses on the upcoming Independence Day will revolutionise the health care sector in state by providing free quality treatment to people. Bhagwant Mann also asked the MLAs to prioritise the important works in their assembly segments so that they can be accomplished accordingly.

The Chief Minister also discussed the new schemes to be launched by the state government with MLAs and sought their suggestion for its effective implementation. He said that executive and legislative both are important pillars of democracy and perfect balance needs to struck between them for the progress of state and prosperity of its people. Bhagwant Mann also discussed the future roadmap of state designed by the Punjab government to ensure welfare of one and all.

Banwari Lal Purohit formally inaugurated the second edition of the Allengers Gully Cricket Tournament at Cricket Stadium Sector 16 Chandigarh today on Friday 26th July 2024. As many as 3600 young boys and girls  aged between 14 to 18 years are representing 300 teams in this 17 days long tournament.
