Golden day for Haryana: wins gold medal in Hockey, Swimming and Judo

In the Khelo India Youth Games – 2021, Haryana continues to top the medal tally with the highest number of gold medals. Friday was also a golden day for Haryana when players won gold medals in hockey and judo.

The girls won gold in hockey by defeating Odisha

Haryana and Odisha girls’ hockey final match was played at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula today, in which Haryana girls beat Odisha by 4-1 and won the gold medal.

At the beginning of the first quarter of the match, Haryana scored the first goal and then scored another goal to take the lead in the match with two goals. When 35 seconds were left for the end of the third quarter, Odisha made the match thrilling by scoring a goal. In the fourth quarter, Haryana made the match one-sided by scoring two more goals and eventually won the gold medal by defeating Odisha.

The players of the team expressed their happiness by dancing on Haryanvi songs along with Haryana’s Mascot,  Dhakad.

Harsh wins gold in swimming

Harsh Saroha of Haryana won the gold medal in the swimming competition at War Heroes Memorial Stadium in Ambala. Harsh Saroha has also won a gold medal in another swimming competition during the Khelo India Youth Game 2021.

Haryana wins gold in judo as well

Haryana’s Anil won the gold medal by defeating Chhattisgarh’s Himanshu in the 55 kg weight category match of Judo being held at Red Bishop, Panchkula on Friday. Similarly, in the girls’ match of 44 kg weight category, Simran of Haryana won the silver medal.
