Chandigarh, June 25
Different plantation programs were conducted in Ward Nos. 2, 10 and 30, M.C. Chandigarh during which plantation activities were done on V4 and V5 roads and in neighbourhood parks of the area in these wards today (25.06.2022).
Area Councillors of their respective wards including Sh. Maheshinder Singh Sidhu, Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla and S. Hardeep Singh were the Chief Guests for these activities that were conducted in their respective wards.
Following plantation of different trees and shrubs were done:
- Plumeria alba planted on road berms of V4 and V5 Roads, Sec 7, Chandigarh….10 plants.
- Lagerstroemia indica (Rukamanjani) planted on road berms of V4 and V5 roads, Sec 7…..50 plants.
- Nyctanthes arbortristis (Haar Shingar) planted in Neighborhood Park Near Sec 28 B, Chandigarh…..10 plants.
- Lagerstroemia indica (Rukamanjini) planted in Neighborhood Park Near Sec 28 B, Chandigarh…..50 plants.
- Cassia fistula (Amaltas) planted on road berms of V5 road Sec 41, Chandigarh….50 plants.
A total of 60 trees and 110 shrubs of different varieties were planted at different locations on this occasion.
