PSPCL suspends 4 officials for violations of commercial instructions of VDS for AP consumers

Chandigarh, June 26:

As per the zero tolerance policy of Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann against corruption, Power minister Punjab Harbhajan Singh ETO today said that punjab state power corporation limited has suspended officials  of Bariwala distribution  sub division of Shri Muktsar Sahib allegedly for gross violations of commercial instructions in regard to the voluntary disclosure scheme for agriculture tubewell consumers.

In another case junior engineer of Dirba division  suspended allegedly for the charges of corruption.

The Chief Minister has directed the officers to provide transparent and efficient administration to people. Exhibiting zero tolerance against corruption, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has so far in a short span of its tenure arrested 45 government officers/ officials and others on charges of corruption.

 From the day one after assuming charge of his office, the Chief Minister has promised corruption free, transparent and clean administration to people for which a number of initiatives have been taken. He had released an anti-corruption helpline number to facilitate people for lodging their complaints against corruption through WhatsApp.

Harbhajan Singh  disclosed that PSPCL has  received a complaint  on whatsapp,  allegedly regarding gross violations of commercial instructions  in the working of Bariwala distribution sub division of Shri Muktsar Sahib.
