The Government College of Art conducted its Annual Function and Prize Distribution ceremony on the 27 May, 2022 with great pomp and splendor. The function was held in the Auditorium of the college.

The Government College of Art conducted its Annual Function and Prize Distribution ceremony on the 27 May, 2022 with great pomp and splendor. The function was held in the Auditorium of the college. The function commenced at 5:00 p.m. Purva Garg, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest for the function. The chief guest was received with a warm welcome followed by lamp lighting ceremony. Students of college of art performed with great verve and energy. They enthralled the audience with various cultural activities, dance performance, musical melodies etc. Luddi, a form of folk dance was the main attraction of the event which everyone in the audience enjoyed. The Annual Report of the college was presented by the HOD cum Principal Government college of art Amandeep Singh Bhatti. While addressing the audience he talked about the activities which took place during the session and highly appreciated the talent of the performers and applauded the achievers. A Power-point presentation was screened reflecting past year’s achievements of the college. The Chief Guest in his speech extolled the efforts of the college in becoming one of the premier institutions of the country. Our students brought laurels to the institute by winning awards in various competitions. Our students won awards in various exhibitions of state and national repute. Many students won awards in the sports category also. The function concluded with vote of thanks, leaving behind a handful of hues for the next year. The event was bubbling with enthusiasm and culminated with the combined hard work of the college students and faculty members.
